ABOUT WOODSIDE VAULTERS

Woodside Vaulters, founded in 1990, is one of the largest and most successful vaulting clubs in the United States. The club emphasizes horsemanship, safety, team-building, communication skills, fitness, and relationship between vaulter and horse.

Our mission is to provide a safe environment where each vaulter has the best opportunity to reach his/her individual goals, for vaulting and for life.

WHAT IS
VAULTING?

Equestrian vaulting combines elements of gymnastics and dance performed to music on a moving horse.  The horse moves in a circle on a longe line and is controlled by a longeur. Vaulters begin on stationary barrels and progress to performing on the horse at the walk and trot. Experienced vaulters perform at the canter.

Is Vaulting Safe?

We work to provide a safe vaulting experience for all of our vaulters. According to the Equestrian Vaulting USA:

"Vaulting is not only the safest of the equestrian sports, it is documented safer than riding bicycles, playing on playground equipment, and even playing soccer."
