AVA U.S. Equestrian Hall of Fame

Isabelle Parker

In March 2014, Isabelle (Bibbler) Parker was inducted into the American Vaulting Association U.S. Equestrian Vaulting Hall of Fame.  The U.S. Equestrian Vaulting Hall of Fame is meant to permanently honor U.S. vaulters, longuers, coaches and horses that have enjoyed significant and extraordinary National Championship and World Championship successes over the course of their extensive vaulting careers. It is meant not only to memorialize and celebrate those that are highly decorated but also to inspire the entire U.S. vaulting community.

Isabelle began vaulting at age six, earned an AVA gold medal and represented the U.S. at competitions around the world. Isabelle has coached at Woodside Vaulters for over twenty years. She has coached National Champions at every level of team and individuals and has sent vaulters to seven World Championships. Isabelle has twice won Trainer of the Year Awards from the United States Equestrian Foundation and was the 2013 American Vaulting Association Mentor of the Year. She is an AVA judge and Technical Committee member, an FEI steward, and a member of multiple USEF vaulting committees since 1994.

Congratulations Isabelle!  And, thank you for inspiring all of our vaulters!

In January 2014, Linda Bibbler was awarded the Pegasus Medal of Honor from the United States Equestrian Federation. The Pegasus Medal of Honor was created as an annual award to recognize individuals who have exhibited outstanding service to horses and equestrian sport.

In March 2014, Linda was also awarded the The AVA Lifetime Achievement Award.  This award honors the entire scope of past  (and hopefully continuing) contributions of a very special member of the vaulting community. The award is not awarded annually but only when there is an exceptional member to be honored.

Linda has been an active member of the vaulting community at all levels for nearly 30 years. With her husband Jim, she is a co-founder of Woodside Vaulters, and though she has "retired" from our daily operations, she remains our Woodside Vaulters Spring Fest competition manager in addition to the countless hours of work she continues to volunteer for the American Vaulting Association and the United States Equestrian Federation.

Congratulations and thank you Linda!
